I am a proud Oakland educator dedicated to excellence in all things, in and outside the kitchen. I spend most of the waking hours working with powerfully resilient young people, but when I’m not doing that I am most often found puttering around in the general vicinity of the stove, or roaming the aisles of the local produce market. I decided recently that my Christmas gift to all my friends and family would be a cookbook with my favorite recipes, and what better place to begin that creation than here?
